Independent Transport Commission
Mission
The Independent Transport Commission studies the long term and unintended consequences of current land use and transport policy, considers changes and makes recommendations.

The Commission's objects are:

  1. To research economic, social and environmental aspects of travel, transport and transport policy in the United Kingdom.
  2. To advance public education in matters relating to transport and, in particular, to make recommendations on possible solutions to transport problems.
  3. To broadcast these findings by reports and all other practical means.
