ESTIMATION OF INCIDENT PROBABILITYThe Estimation of Incident Probability (EIP) module interprets static data from the road network, historical field collected traffic data and historical weather conditions. These are related to time periods with and without incident occurrence to decide which variables are significant when associated with the existence of incidents. It also estimates the probability of incident occurrence under current traffic and weather conditions for each road section. |
