The Southampton site will be involved in two scenarios:

  1. Incident Management (an off-line scenario): Simulation of the network effects (using RGCONTRAM and FLOWSIM) of improved incident detection and management.
  2. Incident Detection through journey time estimation (an on-line scenario): Identification of back of queues on Bassett Avenue to investigate which parameters are the most suitable for identifying incidents and to develop a decision support system for the operators.

In addition, data may be suitable for use in the off-line scenario regarding incident detection methods.
